Yamaha CP1

Yamaha CP1 Digital Piano
In case you are interested in Acoustic and Electric Pianos of highest quality you have to listen to Yamaha’s new Stage Piano CP1.
Yamaha has a long tradition in developing instruments that had a strong impact on the musical instrument market: the CS series with its flagship CS-80, the CP series with the CP-80, FM synthesizers, like the GS-1 and later the DX series with one of the most succesful instruments ever, the DX-7, not to forget the impressive DX-1 and the TX-816. Fortunately the DX-7 was the first Yamaha synthesizer I could afford and immediately got addicted. Not to forget the VP-1 and its famous demonstration by Reinhold Heil and the VL-series. I am quite sure I forgot one or the other, but still, this is an armada of great sounding instruments played by some of the best musicians.
The CP1 is a continuation with this excellent tradition. I am aware there is nothing really new about “Acoustic and Electric Pianos”, however its the quality that counts and makes the difference, a very BIG difference. In this case to “hear” is to believe.
If you want to become a “believer” click here or here.
Did you know, that Yamaha has a really fabulous design webpage - synapses?
The one feature that would make the CP1 perfect for me, would be the option to load own samples and thus benefiting from Yamaha’s Spectral Component Modeling to the fullest!
ADDENDUM - for those of you who understand German. There is a very good review in German KEYBOARDS, issue 1/10, page 40 from Joerg Sunderkoetter.
ADDENDUM II - Christian Lindquist’s Yamaha CP1 demos btw - listen to his other tracks, you won’t regret it!

I just bought a Yamaha CP1. I enjoy the piano sounds and it suits my need for a truly good mobile piano. You can listen to the sounds at:
