It was Kevin (Nolan) with a posting at korgforums.com who inspired me to give away some sounds. So if you want to get an idea of the OASYS sounds I am using, then this PCG file can be of interest for you:
http://www.petermmahr.com/blog/downloads/BLOGASYS.PCG
The file’s size is 15.3MB, thus it can take a while depending on the traffic. All sounds are for free and you can use them - but you are doing that on your own risk.
There are not many combinations I made as this has mostly to do with the way I work and record. But there are some in USER Bank A. Most ot them are using chord progressions to give you an idea how they can sound. In case you want to use these chords for one of your tracks it would be fine if you inform me, as most of them are mine.
For the programs - I changed some of the factory programs therefore all INT program banks can be found in the above PCG. My HD-1 sounds can be heard in USER Bank A, EXis in USER Bank F. There are sounds “I” created by using Daz’ iRandom. Most if not all of them carry the “iRandom” in their names. So in a way this as a plus to the free iRandom software. Furthermore there are factory MOD-7 sounds and old DX sounds I am using for the two TX-816 combinations.
Hope you like some of them and they inspire you in making some music.

This blog exists now for the first year and - I am quite sure you won’t be surprised - therefore it is time for some general comments.
Although I like Excel - one of the two programs from Microsoft that are really worth money - I doubt that many visitors of this blog are interested in statistics. Just look at the numbers at the end of the postings and you will get an idea. One of the most viewed stories is the one contributed by Richard Courtel, aka RC. Interestingly the neuron samples and fotos obviously have been of interest as well.. at least much more then I would have expected.
If one takes into account, that this blog is not really promoted nor pushed hard in the internet, the number of different visitors is higher then my most optimistic expectations. There are only a handful of places in the internet where I posted links to this blog. But of course there is support coming from other places and this brings me now to the first “thank you” which is going mainly to the owners, but also to the members of korgforums.com, karma-lab.com, karo.com, sequencer.de and musicianslife.de.
Furthermore I would like to thank the following two gentlemen and their teams for their support - Dan Phillips, for adding the link from KORGUSER.net and Jerry Kovarsky for adding the link from Korg US.
This blog would not be what it is without the interview guests who spent a lot of time for the interviews. Last but not least there are some people who helped me a lot - these are Michael Stiedl, Kurt Ader, Oliver Rehn, Eberhard Geitz und Thilo Rex.
So lets see what 2oo8 will bring us….

December was full of work and thus I could not keep the level I wanted to. Let’s see what 2008 will bring. But now - as this year is ending - I would like to thank all of you for your interest, feedback and support for this blog.

Dan Phillips, Product Manager @ Korg R&D
As I could not make it for a coffee to St. Barbara, although being only five hours away by car, Dan and I decided to chat a little bit online. Time passed by to soon and after one hour we had to interrupt a chat I enjoyed a lot.
Dan was so kind to offer me his availability for an interview. Of course I will use this oppurtunity and as we both are quite busy these days we decided to meet for it in the not so far future. Thus - watch this space.
For the unpatient:

By the way, there are of course some more interviews in work that hopefully will be published soon.
Greetings from Fremont / California
